Julie G's Holiday Gumdrops

One of my Christmas gifts from my Mommy was Julie G's holiday Gumdrop collection! I was so excited! :) :)

And here they are! There are 2 pics for each set of swatches. The first with flash, the 2nd without. All swatches are 2 coats without topcoat. Applied like a dream, and dries pretty quickly. I don't love all the textured polishes, but Julie G's are probably my favorite.

DIFFERENT Dimension's "Just Keep Swimming"

Now that the holidays are over (for me) I figured I'd post all the swatches I have ready! Starting with Just Keep Swimming. I have had this color on my wishlist for quite a while. I LOVE holo polishes! The application was flawless, I personally love the brush, and DIFFERENT Dimension is slowly but surely going to end up taking over the indie drawer in my "Melmer" lol  I tried to catch all the pretty holo goodness with varying types of light, so...

Space nails

You've all seen galaxy/nebula nails before, so I don't need to explain the process. I will explain my accent nail. The accent nails are inspired by the full moon. I wanted to make it a perfect circle, so I used a pencil eraser! I could have added some nebula stuff behind the moon, but I thought stars was plenty. :) Every color is from China Glaze.

2 Christmas manis

It's Christmas Eve. I did a mani, and the children told me I needed a new one involving Santa. SO... I have 2 to show you today!
 Here's the 1st.

And this is the 2nd.

a different take on Christmas trees

I wanted to do a Christmas tree, but not the traditional green. One of the first blog posts I did was last Christmas season, and it was a white tree inspired thing. Thought I'd revisit that. Forgive the dry cuticles, it's winter time people! Which means cold, and DRY.

Winter Wonderland

Normally when I get an idea for a mani, I test it out sometimes several times on a color wheel. I am unfortunately out of color wheels! Which is not acceptable, lol. I wanted to do a mani that was more about winter than the holidays, but I ended up putting little ornaments on the trees, lol. And in doing so realized I really need to work on my snow people, lol.

A break from holiday nails.

I decided I didn't want to do another holiday mani, so I hunted around on youtube for a tutorial for something that I would like, but wouldn't necessarily do, and I found THIS. Here's my version, I tried to stay close to the colors she used.

Ornaments

Been up since about 7:30 last night with off and on head pain. Finally got down to a dull roar, and I was going to take a nap. However, it's too late in the afternoon. So, in order to keep myself awake, I decided to change my nails from lights to ornaments.  Pretty happy with the results. :)

Christmas Lights

15 more days til Christmas! And I haven't done ANY shopping! AHHH! But I'll address that soon enough :) I wanted Christmas lights on my nails. After 6 efforts on a nail wheel, I decided I was trying too hard. Scrapped all the previous ideas and sort of just did it. Here it is.

Earlier this evening I also did my 5 year old's nails. She asked for pictures as well....

Christmas Candy....attempt

I'm not a fan of peppermint, or really any kind of mint for that matter. However every Christmas there are candy canes, and those little swirly mints all over the place. I attempted to do that on my nails. Here's what happened..

Jem is truly outragious, truly truly truly outragious.

I ordered some water decals with Jem on them! I'm not 100% happy with the result, but I'm pretty new to the world of water decals. :) Here's what happened...

Darling Diva Seriously Serious

I got nail mail today, and I am sooo happy! Picked up some polishes that have been on my wishlist thanks to an Etsy giftcard and deciding the no buy was over, lol. The first one I'll show is Seriously Serious. A super sparkly purple based glitter bomb of pretty. I have it over Liquid Leather (black polish). As the Diva suggested.

It's a little on the thick side, but that's to be expected. Specially since she uses uncut suspension base. I love this polish!
